Friendly matches

Friendlies are games which are played between teams outwith the season which have no direct bearing on the league or cup. Most managers play friendlies against teams who are not in thier league to see how well the will do, others play them for a laugh, however, should you play friendlies? Lets take a look at the plus and negatives of playing friendly matches.

Play friendlies to improve form, teamwork and experience

Form: A players form can increase or decrease depending on how well the player performs during the match.

Teamwork: You can use a friendly to get your player's team work values to synchronize better. For each match the players play together their team work values will converge towards each other. Each player has a team work value and for the players to work best together their team work values should be as close to each other as possible. This can be a good idea if you have any new players in your team or any diva players.

Experience: Friendlies give match experience as well, but only 10% of a regular match, thus 1-4% at most.

So is playing friendly matches worth it? Personally i dont think it is. The only real benefit from playing friendlies is getting your players team work stat to be better. There is the danger of players form dipping and also the danger of players getting injured. Therefore in my opinion, i wouldnt play a friendly.
